Guanlong, meaning "crowned dragon," was a genus of basal tyrannosaurid from the Late Jurassic. This proceratosaurid was found in the Shishugou Formation in China. Guanlong is one of the oldest and most basal tyrannosaurids known, with unexpectedly primitive pelvic features, and relatively blunt teeth. Its limbs were longer than those of later tyrannosaurids, with three-fingered hands.

The most distinct feature of Guanlong was its nasal crest, found in other proceratosaurids. Whether the function of the crest was for the release of heat, display, or some other purpose is unknown. Guanlong, like many other basal tyrannosaurids, was probably covered in feathers. At 2.5 to 3 meters (8.25 to 10 feet) in length, Guanlong would have been a small but formidable Jurassic Predator, hunting small dinosaurs.
